Kempf-Gremminger

Michelle Vernell Kempf and Jesse Wayne Gremminger were united as one with Christ in marriage on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the historic Saint Louis Catholic church in Castroville.

Michelle is the daughter of Leo and Beverly Kempf of Blanco and Jesse is the son of Larry and Lois Gremminger of Richmond, Texas. Maternal grandparents are Calvin and Virginia Schott of Hondo and the late Gerhardt and Elva Weynand formerly of Yancey, and paternal grandparents are Delores Gremminger and the late Gregory Gremminger of Hillsboro, Texas and Bessie Broussard of Houston.

The bride was escorted by her father. She was attired in a long full skirted white satin gown with a cobalt blue trimmed bodice elegantly designed with white beading to match the long blue white beaded train.

Melanie Wilkes of San Antonio was her sister’s Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Carroll of Dilley, also a sister of the bride; Leigh Ann Weaver of Blanco, best friend of the bride; Sarah Ann Turner of Houston, sorority sister of bride; Renae Hermann of Engleside, cousin of the bride; and Pamela Gremminger of Richmond, sister of the groom. Their dresses were cobalt blue satin accented with elegantly designed with white trim. They each carried a nosegay of white roses and small blue flowers with blue and white ribbons flowing from the bouquet.

The flower girls were Kylen Calabrese of Hondo, cousin of the bride; Abigail Adams of Atlanta, cousin of the groom; and Cami Lee Carroll of Dilley (honorary flower girl), niece of the bride.

Carrying the ring pillows were Travis and Rylan Wilkes, nephews of the bride.

Mason Gibson of Richmond, best friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jerry Clouse of San Antonio, friend of groom; Jake Lewis of Hillsboro, cousin of the groom; Gregory Gremminger of Richmond, brother of the groom; Troy Thomas of Richmond, friend of groom; and Henry Harrison of Richmond, friend of the groom.

Ushers were Cody Santos of Houston, cousin of the bride, and Julian “Pepe” Mancha of Blanco, friend of bride and groom.

Immediately following the ceremony, guest gathered at Koenig Park Hall for a dinner reception and dance.

Servers at the bride and groom table were Billie Jo and Bailey Ricord of Devine; Rhonda and Katy Gear, Nadine Calabrese, Nicole Muller, Wendy Persyn and Laura Bohmfalk all of Hondo.

After a fun filled evening of dining and dancing, the couple left for their honeymoon as guests blew wedding bubbles wishing the couple good luck in their new life together.

Shelly and Jesse are currently residing in New Braunfels, Texas.
