Cub Scouts Hold Annual Pinewood Derby
Wednesday, February 18, 2009 • Posted February 17, 2009

The Blanco Cub Scout pack 497 had their annual Pinewood Derby on Friday, February 13th at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Friends and family watched as the boys raced against each other in the exciting, fast-paced race.

Since our group is small, each Scout was able to race against every other scout. Joshua Neill was the 1st place winner with Cade Felps at a close 2nd. We had a tie for 3rd place: Kendall Hartmann and Wade Robinson. Only three boys can advance to the District Derby in Marble Falls on the 4th of April, so we had to have a race-off and Kendall Hartmann won.

Thank you to all the spectators and parents for coming out and cheering on the racers!
