Newest Activity at BSB Library
Wednesday, February 18, 2009 • Posted February 17, 2009

The Friends of the Bulverde/Spring Branch Library in a constant search for new and different activities to offer the public are sponsoring a Readers Theatre on February 23rd, from 4:00 to 6:00pm. Friend’s Board Member Jerry Reynolds will be the director of this first in the series. The play, The Night of January 16th by Ayn Rand, is a comic courtroom battle between a former secretary to the wealthy murder victim and the district attorney. There is no rehearsal, no learning lines, no costumes or sets in a Readers Theatre. The participants see the script for the first time the night they are to read. Two male parts are still open for volunteer readers. In this play the audience will be the jury as to whether the secretary is guilty or not.

The public is invited to attend this reading and enjoy a pizza supper afterwards at a cost of $3 per person. The production will be held in the Bulverde/Spring Branch Library Meeting Rooms. If successful, the Friends may sponsor two more readings in 2009. This is one activity you won’t want to miss as it should be hilarious and entertaining. For more information, call the Bulverde/Spring Branch Library at 830-438-4864 or check the website: www.bsb.lib.tx.us.
