Panther Band UIL Pre-Concert and Bake Sale
Wednesday, February 25, 2009 • Posted February 24, 2009

There is music in the air again, and yes, it is the Panther Band that is taking the blame once again! The Panther Ban has been hard at work preparing for the U.I.L. Concert/Sight Reading Competition and has planned a pre-concert for family and friends.

You are invited to come out on Sunday, March 1st at 1:00pm to the high school cafeteria to witness the beautiful transition from marching music to concert music before the compete on March 4th and 5th. This pre-concert is a very important factor in helping prepare the bands by having them perform on a stage, as they would in competition, and also allows the directors to get a feel for the how the bands will sound as they play.

The Panther Band has done very well in the past by winning Sweepstakes, earning a Division I rating in both concert and sight reading. After a successful marching season, in which the band also earned a I rating, another Division I rating would put the icing on the cake for this year. Speaking of cake, the band will also be holding a bake sale during the concert. Come on out and buy great tasting goodies, listen to great music and visit with your family and friends.

See you there! Support your Panther Band!
