Keep Blanco Beautiful and the City of Blanco will join together for the tenth annual citywide "Trash Off" and the third annual "Blanco River Cleanup" on April 4, 2009 from 8:00am to 11:00am. There will be dumpsters at the city yard on Jones Road, behind the cemetery. Bring your city water bill or stub. We will not take household trash that can be put out for IESI, oil, batteries, electronics, or tires. Glass, aluminum and tin cans, paper, cardboard, plastic, and certain oil can be recycled at the Blanco County Recycle Center, located next to the City Yard.
We will pick up curbside items for citizens who are unable to transport them to the dump site. Please call the city hall 833-4525 to be placed on the list. Please bring your appliances and used items that need to be disposed of. This is the opportunity for the citizens of Blanco to comply with the city nusiance ordinance #332.
Call Pam Capps at 512-626-9897 to volunteer for the Blanco River Cleanup. We will have prizes for the youth groups and free lunch for all volunteers.
See you on the courthouse lawn on April 4.
