The Kendall County Area Democratic Women (KCADW) will meet at 10:00am on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at the Boerne Holiday Inn Express hotel. The featured guest at this month’s meeting is Elder Law attorney Carmen Samaniego. The title of her presentation is, “Are you ready to rely on others? What you need to know about finances, powers of attorney, and guardianships.”

Ms. Samaniego is a native of San Antonio. She is a member of the Elder Law Section of the San Antonio Bar Association and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, where she served on the litigation committee. She currently serves on the board of the Women and the Law section of the State Bar of Texas and is a current board member and past treasurer for the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association. In 2005, Ms Samaniego was awarded the Belva Lockwood Outstanding Young Lawyer by the Bexar County Women’s Bar.
