Varsity Works Hard, Falls Short

The Ingram Warriors defeated Llano JV in the finals.

Texas Military Institute defeated Blanco in the 3rd place game.

Blanco defeated the Blanco JV team 11-0

Ethan Evans got the win for the Varsity, he went 2 innings. Brooks Wyatt and Travis McClinton each went an inning.

John Pepper provided the punch on offense as he went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and knocked in 6 runs. Lance Gottardy was 3 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI.

Kevin Gray was 2 for 3 scoring 3 runs and Brooks Wyatt and Blake West each had a hit for the Panthers.

The Panthers faced Florence in game 2 and defeated them 6-0.

Keaton Dodd went 5 strong innings to earn his 1st win of the year.

Blake West was perfect at the plate going 3 for 3. Brooks Wyatt, John Pepper and Austin Deshane all had 2 hits.

Blanco defeated TMI 6-2.

Michael Cummings went 6 innings giving up 5 hits and striking out 1 to earn the win for the Panthers.

Blanco only managed 4 hits during the game. Lance Gottardy was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. Kevin Gray singled and plated 2 runs and stole 2 bags, and Brooks Wyatt singled.

Blanco played Llano JV and lost 5-2

Blake West went 4 2/3 innings and scattered 4 hits and walked 3. Kevin Gray came in relief and picked up the loss.

Blanco's bats went silent as they only had 4 hits. Lance Gottardy and Keaton Dodd both doubled and Kevin Gray and Blake West both had singles.

Blanco lost the 3rd place game to TMI by the score of 5-1.

Lance Gottardy went 6 strong innings striking out 7 and scattering 6 hits.

Once again the Blanco offense did not make much noise as they only managed 3 hits. Brooks Wyatt, Ethan Evans, and Cory Dowlearn all had singles.

Lance Gottardy and John Pepper were all tournament.

Blanco is 4 and 2 on the year.
