Betty V. Stobaugh went to be with our Lord on March 9, 2009 at the age of ninety. She was born December 1, 1918 in Saginaw, Michigan to Edward and Julie Zauel. Betty was preceded in death by Maurice, her husband of 59 years, and brother, Ed Zauel of Holly, Michigan.

Betty taught in Saginaw and in Blanco in the areas of English in middle school and first grade. She retired after twenty-eight in education but continued her education by traveling with her husband to countries throughout the World.

Betty was active in her church, Trinity Lutheran, as a council member and active parishner. She also loved and grew flowers, especially African violets, roses, and iris in multiple varieties.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie Shepard of San Antonio and Janet Reeves, and her husband, Jim Reeves of New Braunfels; four grand children, Stacey Mirelez and husband Jacob; Mark Trevino and his wife, Amy; Kristin Robinson and husband, Douglas; Shelly Bennett and husband, Daven; two great grand children, Danica Robinson and Mason Bennett.

Funeral services will be March 14th at 10:00am at Crofts Funeral Home. Viewing will be Friday night from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Crofts Funeral Home.

The Family would prefer donations to the Blanco Fire Department or Blanco County Meals-on-Wheels program instead of flowers.
