1 Corinthians 1:2 - “2 I am writing to God’s church in Corinth, to you who have been called by God to be his own holy people. He made you holy by means of Christ Jesus, just as he did for all people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.
Romans 5:6-11 - "When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7 Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. 10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. 11 So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.”
Do you have a relationship with Jesus Christ?
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1 “9 God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
It’s difficult to understand the three in one deity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. I look at a triangle and it helps me. Each corner represents one person in the Holy Trinity.
We need to ask for understanding and believe it and not try to humanly understand.
Proverbs 2:3 - "3 Cry out for insight,
and ask for understanding."
1 Corinthians 1:18-25 ~ The Wisdom of God
“18 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 19 As the Scriptures say,
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise
and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”
20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. 21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.
Proverbs 3:5-14 ~ Trusting in the Lord
“5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
7 Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
8 Then you will have healing for your body
and strength for your bones.
James 1:5 - "5If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking."
I'm encouraging you to call out for understanding, and ask God for wisdom, to understand that we need to have a relationship with Jesus Christ to enter into heaven. I'm encouraging you to read your bible, to learn more about what Jesus taught us, and invite Him into your heart, to receive Him as your Saviour, and know Him personally, and receive all the blessings God has in store for you. Get to know Jesus.
John 1:1-4 ~ The Word Became Flesh
“1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.”
Colossians 1:15-20 ~ The Supremacy of Christ
“15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”
