Jennifer Lauren McIntyre and Samuel Duane McDougall were united in marriage on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2009, in the Rust Family Chapel near Blanco, Texas.

The Reverend Lemae Miller Higgs, friends of the groom, officiated at the service. Nuptial music was provided by Mrs. Tom (Carol) Davidson, friend of the groom, on the piano. Amazing Grace, a favorite hymn of both the bride and groom, was sung by all.

Jennifer Lauren is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin (Judy) Cuddy and Cecil McIntyre. She is the maternal granddaughter of Mildred and the late Sylvester Cain; she is the paternal granddaughter of Bersha and the late Bobbie Lee McIntyre.

Sam is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark (Dana Lynn) Hughett and Mr. and Mrs. Wyle (Cindy) McDougall. He is the maternal grandson of the late John Alexis and Jeanne Fortune; he is the paternal grandson of Maurine McDougall. He is the step grandson of Wanda Hughett and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie (Margie) Hughett. Through the Lord, Sam is the “hijo” of Senor C.A. Rust III and the “mieto” of Cicero Rust.

Attending the bride were Mildred Cain, grandmother of the bride; Amanda McIntyre, cousin of the bride; and flower girl, Savannah McDougall, daughter of the groom. Escorting the bride was her father, Cecil McIntyre, who, with all attending parents, presented the couple for marriage.

Best man was C.A. Rust III, borrowed father of the groom; groomsman was Nick McIntyre, brother of the bride, served as usher.

The guest registration table featured tributes to deceased family members. A toast to Mr. and Mrs. Sam McDougall was pronounced by C.A. Rust III. A Bar-B-Q buffet was served poolside. The bride’s cake, a multi-tiered confection, featured the bride’s chosen colors of lavender and white; the groom’s cake was of German chocolate.

A flurry of rice pelted the newlyweds upon their departure; guests carried away wedding favors of Valentine’s Day sweets.

Sam and Jennifer Lauren enjoyed a week long honeymoon on the Texas coast, based in Port Aransas.

May He grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your plans. —Psalms 20:4
