Get Ready for Johnson City Wildflower Days
Wednesday, April 1, 2009 • Posted March 31, 2009

It’s Johnson City Wildflower Days - Art, Wine and Wildflowers, May 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a celebration in the Wildflower Capital of the Hill Country. You are invited!

The Johnson City Courthouse Square will be ringed with artisans, live musical entertainment, workshops and demonstrations, arts and crafts, food and product vendors, and fun activities for the whole family.

Demonstrations will include “plein air” (in the open air) painting and a potter at the pottery wheel. There will be innovative workshops on photography, butterflies, lavender and a presentation by the Johnson City Master Gardeners.

In a special area, local wineries will offer their palate pleasing wares. For music enthusiasts, a variety of live music will play through out the day.

Additionally, the venue includes a tour of historic Johnson City homes - a great opportunity to connect with the past. Also, there will be maps for a self-guided wildflower tour in our beautiful countryside.

There’s still some room for vendors as well as a discount for Go-Texan members. More information is available at Lbjcountry.com and the Johnson City Visitor’s Center, 830-868-7684.
