Panthers Take on Comfort

The Panther Softball team traveled to Comfort last Friday to take on the Lady Deer. The Panthers came out swinging, producing three triples, six doubles, and seven singles scoring 16 runs on 16 hits. Defensively, Rachel Calzoncit struck out nine, allowing only three hits. According to Coach Seales, the ladies had the best offensive and defensive game thus far.

Highlights: Symbri McCarroll was 4 for 5 with one triple, three singles, two RBI’s and four runs; LaCee Hunter was 4 for 5 with two doubles, two singles, three RBI’s and four runs; Rachel Calzoncit went 3 for 4 with one triple, two doubles, four RBI’s, one SAC and three runs; Alex Gustafson was 2 for 4 with a triple, single, two runs and one BB; Claire Klepac and MacKenzie Ray both had doubles; and Carla Martinez went 1 for 5 with a single and three runs scored.

The Lady Panthers are currently 12-7 overall and 2-0 in district play. The Panthers will travel to Johnson City this Friday to face the Lady Eagles. Games start at 5:00pm for JV and 7:00pm for Varsity.
