Wednesday, October 17, 2007 • Posted October 16, 2007

The Pleasant Hill-Rocky Community Club is holding its annual Smorgasbord on Saturday, November 3rd, the first day of deer season. The site of this benefit feast for area residents, friends, and visiting hunters is the historic Pleasant Hill - Rocky School Building, which is located about 7 miles west of Johnson City, just off Highway 290 West, on CR 205 (Rocky Road). People driving from the Blanco area may also take CR 105 (Rocky Road), which becomes CR 205 at the Divide.

Serving will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will continue until 8:30 p.m. or until food runs out. Meals are by donation.

Funds raised are used to help support the Blanco and Johnson City libraries, the Blanco County Youth Council, the Johnson City and Stonewall volunteer fire departments, the North Blanco County EMS, the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, the Hill Country Memorial Hospital Wellness Center, and similar organizations.
