The Varsity Lady Panthers took on the Comfort Deer on Tuesday, January 29.

Blanco took the lead early in the first period but they did not get it easily. The Deer did not just sit back and watch; they made every attempt to stop the Lady Panthers.

During the second period of play, Blanco only put seven points on the board and Comfort sank six point keeping this a very low scoring game. The teams retired to the locker rooms with the Panthers in the lead with a 18-14 score.

The teams a returned to the court ready for the second half of the game.

The Deer made the game closer by the end of the thrid period as they sank nine points while the Panthers sank only six points to make the game 24-23 still in the Panthers favor.

The Panthers stepped it up in the fourth period as they made seveal shots to help out with the point spread. The one shot that had the crowd on their feet was the shot which was laid up by Symbri McCarroll to put the Pantehrs back out into the lead.

The Pathers took the victory with a final score 44-40 and hold a 7-1 record.
