007 Quantum of Solace is a very action packed movie and if you really want to understand what is going on and who the characters are, I recommend watching the previous 007 movie. I was a little lost and had the typical who and why questions and the movie goes very fast. The action is great and the effects are wonderful, but it doesn’t leave enough time to comprehend what is going on. That’s why I think it would be easier if you were to watch the previous movie before this one. As far as action goes, this is your movie, but I didn’t like the fact that you really didn’t know what was happening and why until the end, it was just okay for me. 2 ½ paws.
Quantum of Solace, the latest James Bond film and the second featuring Daniel Craig has its flaws, but is still a pretty spectacular film. The series is in full retooling mode, hardly recognizable when compared to the films of Sean Connery and Roger Moore. While closer to the darker sides of Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan's Bonds, it does have more in common with the popular Jason Bourne series starring Matt Damon, which is not a bad thing. The new Bond is action packed and Craig is as rugged as ever. The plot may not live up to Casino Royale as this is more of the revenge movie for the ending of the last movie compared to a whole new story, so you may need to go back if you’ve forgot Casino Royale. All in all, it’s the action that makes Bond films and this has plenty of it. 3 paws
