Harold F. (Buddy) Eggers

Harold F. (Buddy) Eggers was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. His wife, Betty, who preceded him in death, was his childhood sweetheart. They married in 1939, raised 6 children, and were together for 67 years. He served in the Army in the North African Theater in WW II. He worked for the New York Telephone Company for 39 years. After retiring he served two years as President to the Local Union (CWA) and made many, many friends in NY and TX and kept in touch with all throughout the years. He was a member of the Lions Club and Knights of Columbus and was very active throughout the years.

Buddy is survived by three sons: Dennis of Long Island, NY; Kevin of New York; and Harold of Austin; three daughters: Nonie Beard of Blanco; Margaret Nolan of Ashley Falls, MA; and Kathleen Luckadoo of Portal, AZ. There are 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Crofts Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. The funeral mass will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 23 at St Ferdinand’s Catholic Church, Blanco with burial to follow at St Mary’s Cemetery, Twin Sisters.
