Henry Fudge Memorial Fund Raiser
Saturday, April 18, 2009, On The Square, Blanco, Texas
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 • Posted April 14, 2009

Many old timers and residents of Blanco County knew Henry Fudge. He was a master mechanic and worked on many people’s cars back when Bob Riley’s Rockin R Steakhouse used to be Barker Motor Co. He worked with Delman Barker and I believe with Dwayne Nolte, when there was a mechanic shop in the old Cedar Hills Feed Store on Hwy. 281.

Many people have eaten steaks cooked by Henry because he was a life time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and he and his girls (and ex-wife Joan) served many people steaks every Friday night at the Eagles over the past years.

Many young people knew Henry because he loved music of all sorts, and he did many, many bar gigs, all around Blanco and the surrounding area.

Henry went to be with Jesus this past April 7th, 2009. Henry was an American Veteran who served in the United States Army, and was buried here in the Blanco Cemetary. The Cattleman’s Bank has a special account set up to help pay funeral expenses.

All the proceeds from this coming Saturday’s fund raiser will be deposited into that account. I hope we see you there. Lawrence Coffee will barbeque brisket and Joe Reed will cook beans, and friends will bake cookies & cakes, and we will be selling BBQ sandwiches, a bowl of beans and cookies & lemonade, on the square in Blanco, this Farmer’s Market Day! See you there!
