RK and Priscilla Seals' daughter, Christy's architecture firm, Loop Design, was on the front page of the Austin American Statesman real estate section Sunday. She is designing a house for a writer, Geoff Leavenworth, who is writing a blog about it. Her firm is a green building firm--that's the focus of the article.
My favorite hair designer (she does what she can with mine), Mysti Johnson, is back at High Maintenance Salon (next to Cilantro's). She (and Dawn) do a wonderful job. Check it out! You may get to see pictures of her new baby!
The Gem of the Hills dance was great fun Saturday night. There weren't many dancers, not because the DJ was bad, but because the weather was inclement. However, they raised quite a bit of money for the Aquatic Center that is in the offing. There will be 2-step lessons at the Gem starting March 3 and 2 weeks thereafter. The lessons will be taught by Tom Philips, who is one smooth dancer. It is free, starts at 6:30, and fun will be had by all!
If anyone knows of an upright piano for sale at a reasonable price, please let me know at (830) 833-1218.
Keep informed on what is happening with Blanco County's 150th anniversary all by going to www.blancocounty150.com. There is a list of things to do, which will be updated/changed as time goes on. March 8 is one of the biggest happenings, so watch for more information.
On Monday, February 14, at 12:45 PM, four first grade classes came to visit Live Oak Medical Center with singing and then passed out handmade Valentine’s and lovely valentines of real daisies wrapped in red tissue paper. They walked around visiting residents as they passed out their Valentine’s.
Until next week, happy trails!
