Blanco County 150 Comm. Seeking Interesting Historic Artifacts from Locals
Wednesday, February 20, 2008 • Posted February 19, 2008

The Blanco County 150 Committee is well underway on planning the March 8 celebration of the county’s founding, with presentations, storytelling, a trailride, folks in period costume, and displays of items from circa 1858 scheduled for the day.

If you want to lend the Sesquicentennial Celebration an historic item from your possessions, Pat Vallone is the gal to contact. Items of interest will be put on display at the Byars Building during the March 8 festivities (space willing, of course) and kept secure otherwise.

Old cowboy boots, the rougher the better, are one thing the committee is looking for. Call Pat at 830-833-1972 and let her know you’ve got an interesting item to share!

The next Blanco County 150 meeting will be held March 3 at 6:30PM at the Byars Building.
