FFA Members Take Honors at Texas State University

The Blanco FFA completed a busy week on the road to close out the month of March as they finished the week judging at the Texas State University Invitational Career Development Events in San Marcos and New Braunfels. Highlighting the day for Blanco was a first place finish by the land judging team. Shelby Moore took top honors as an individual, while Austin Deshane followed with a close second.

Also placing in the top 15 were: Victoria Jones 4th, Lauren Graham 6th, Brooks Wyatt 8th, David Hostetler 9th, and Tanner Jones 13th. The livestock team also did very well placing 5th. Quaid Haack led the way individually placing 12th. Finally, the wildlife team of Corey Dowlearn, Weston Copenhaver, Ecce Bradfute, Taylor Hartmann, Payton Duvall, Grady Childress, Cody Perez, Shea Mangold, Zach Barnes, and Justine Cooley also contributed to Blanco’s top five sweepstakes ranking by placing 16th overall.
