Wildflower Days is here! Art, Wine And Wildflowers kicks off at 9:00 a.m, this Saturday, May 2. Grab your hat and head on over to the Johnson City courthouse Square to join the festivities.

Check out a variety of art, wine, wildflowers, arts and crafts, foods and desserts. Face painting and color book art for the kids will be available all day.

Throughout our town, art galleries and local merchants will join the festivities by offering special art exhibits and artisan wares at their establishments.

Five historic homes and gardens await your visit. From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. enjoy the Barnwell House, the Pearl Hotel, the Chantilly Lace Country Inn and Lavender Farm, “The Little Yellow Building”, Johnson City’s only townhouse on the square, and the Johnson Settlement Log Cabin.

Demonstrations: 11-3- Pottery with Ross Heberly; 2- 4- Plein Air Painting with Dan Gilroy. Added fun with 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. – Karate; 12:45 and 3:45 - Tumbling

Workshops: 10 a.m. Butterflies with Dan Holland; 11a.m. Becker Vineyards and Lavender with Chris Perrenoud; 1p.m. Photography with Sherry Justus; and 2p.m. Master Gardeners Answer.

Music in the Park: From the gazebo in the park, musicians will entertain you throughout the day with a variety of country western, gospel, bluegrass and jazz. Beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Take a break in the park and enjoy wine offered from local Texas wineries.

Wildflower tour maps will be available for self-guided tours. Enjoy the wildflowers enhanced by the natural beauty of the hill country.
