You have to be a resident of Blanco ISD or Johnson City ISD to participate. There will be four different age groups: 7 and under lead line, pee wee 7 and under ride alone, Juniors 8 to 12 year olds and Seniors 13 to 18 year olds. The following regular horse events to take place are: straight-a-way barrels, cloverleaf barrels, pole bending, keyhole race and goat ribbon pull for the little ones and goat tying for the juniors and seniors.

We will have buckles for the high point girl and boy in each age group and if there is a tie, a coin toss will declare the winner. You have to participate in at least four of the regular horse events to qualify for the buckle. It cost $5.00 per event or all regular horse events for $20.00. We will also have a special horse event, which is $3.00 to enter; break-away steer roping for the juniors and seniors winner in each age group will receive a rope. The non-horse events will include dummy roping for Pee Wee (8 and under) or Junior (9 to 15). This event will be a process of elimination and the winner of each age group will receive a rope. We will have two Stick Horse races; one for children 5 and under and another for the 6 to 8 year olds. Dummy Roping and Stick Horse Race will cost $3.00 to enter.
