Annual Round Up of Blue Bikes For Maintenance Begins
Wednesday, May 6, 2009 • Posted May 5, 2009

Blanco Blue Bike Project is rounding up all the blue bikes for repair and project overhaul. There are blue bike racks around town and we are collecting the “blues” from those collection sites. If you have a blue bike or find one laying around, please return it to one of the following blue bike rack sites.

Many of the bikes have been used for personal use and we’d appreciate it if those would be returned, too. Many of us have been blessed to have had bikes leant to us for awhile.

Now it is time for them all to come in for a annual safety inspection and project overhaul. We are looking forward to a summer bike program for our youth and potentially a revenue producing program to encourage responsibility.

Lots of good things to come! But for now lets clean up the “blues” by returning to one of the following bike rack locations:

• Bindseil park

• Franklin recreation center

• 2nd and Cherry Street (Blue Bike Storage headquarters)

• Former Real Foods on the square

Please do not leave any bikes on the street or in the woods.

Volunteers needed. If you would like to help, call Carrie at 512 393 8597.
