Wednesday, May 6, 2009 • Posted May 5, 2009

Four Blanco FFA members were recently notified by the National FFA Association that they had been selected to receive a National FFA Scholarship. Seniors Katie Baker, Darin Dollahite, Austin Smith, and Aaron Thomson were each selected based on their academic and extra curricular achievements, in addition to their selected majors.

Katie will be receiving a $1,500 scholarship sponsored by United Country Real Estate, while Darin will be receiving a $1,000 from Tulsa Welding School. Austin will also be getting a $1,000 scholarship, compliments of the Cargill Community Scholarship Program. Finally, Aaron’s scholarship comes courtesy of Ford Trucks/Built Ford Tough.

All four of these local FFA members will be able to utilize these scholarships beginning in the fall.
