Texas AgriLIFE Extension Service and the Natural Resource Conservation Service along with the Pedernales Groundwater Conservation District are sponsoring a Spring Field Day, to be held on May 22nd. This event will be held at the Roy Bruemmer Ranch, located outside of Blanco at 1275 RR 473 East. It is just past the old school house; Mr. Bruemmers’ place is on the North side of 473.

Registration will be from 8:00 to 8:30am with the program ending at 12:00 noon.

The day’s program will feature presentations by Dr. Butch Taylor, Professor with the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management, on recommended follow up practices after you have cleared blueberry juniper from a range site.

Dr. Steve Nelle, Rangeland Conservationist with NRCS, will be speaking on the management of rangelands to meet landowner goals. This will address mainly wildlife species and management practices to enhance those species. Mr. Kyle Eckert will also be on hand to discuss laws and regulations pertaining to the Private Applicator License holder.

This program will offer three CEU credits for those already licensed. Plan on being out on the ranch and bring a lawn chair for the mornings events.
