Barnett Earns Eagle Scout Award

Christopher Barnett, of Scout Troop 497 in Blanco, has earned the Eagle Scout award, the highest rank awarded by the Boy Scouts of America. Christopher is also a member of the Order of the Arrow and recently joined the Sea Scouts at Canyon Lake. Christopher is the son of Don and Missy Barnett of Blanco.

He is in the 8th grade at Blanco Middle School, where he is a member of the Junior National Honor Society and plays football for the Blanco Panthers.

Dr. John Weaver, Scout Master, will be presenting the award to Christopher on Memorial Day, May 25, in an awards ceremony and presentation at the Barnett’s home.
