The Blanco Panther Softball team fell to the #7 ranked Hallettsvile Brahmas in the Area Championship. The Panthers played a 2 out of 3 series against the Brahmas, losing game one 6-1 and game two 18-0.

“These girls have nothing to be upset about. They played some solid softball throughout their season,” stated Coach Seales. Coach Seales would like to recognize seniors Rachel Calzoncit, MacKenzie Ray, Hillary Tidwell, Carla Martinez, and Claire Klepac for four years of hard work and determination in softball. Coach Seales and Coach Etzel would also like to thank Lacee Hunter, Lauren Winn, Chandler Ashley, Hillary Calzoncit, Alex Gustafson, Megan Brown, Mindy Dechert, and all the parents and fans for their hard work and support of the Blanco Panther 2009 Softball team. The Panthers finished the year 18-10 overall, 8-1 in district play, District Champions and Bi-District.
