I want to begin this by saying that I stand behind Mark McMain 100 percent. There is not a soul in Blanco who hasn't been touched by Mark and the rest of the EMS team at one point or another. Mark has shown this town that he is willing to give up a lot of his family time by being at nearly EVERY emergency. His compassion and kindness show through and he is outstanding at his job. If we lose Mark, we lose so much and I cannot imagine not having him as the EMS Director. My prayers are with you Mark.

Dear Editor,

Attention residents of Rust Ranch Subdivision, Whitmire Estates, Stallion Springs Subdivision, Summit North and Summit Estates

Rancho del Lago, Inc has submitted an application with the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality to sell facilities and to transfer a portion of a CCN to provide water utility service in Blanco and Comal Counties to Canyon Lake Water Service Company, 1399 Sattler Rd,. New Braunfels, TX 78132.

Residents of the affected areas have until March 12, 2008 to file a letter of protest to the following agency:

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Water Supply Division, Utilities and Districts Section, MC-153, PO Box 13087, Austin, TX 78711-3087. If the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality approves this application for the sale of water facilities and transfer of a portion of a CCN, it will ensure that our water rates will go sky high just as they have on the South Side of Canyon Lake.

Please take a few moments and send your protest letter to the above agency requesting a public hearing. Remember, your letter must be in the hands of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality before March 12, 2008.
