John 1 – 1-3, “1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”

We continue reading in verse 14, “14 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” John 1:14 NLT Compare your bibles.

In the book of Revelations, chapter 19:11-13, John also wrote “11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but He himself.

13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” KJV

God told Micah that He would send a Saviour, out of Judah shall come forth the ruler “whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” Micah 5:1-2

If you read these closely, you will see that these Scriptures teach us that Jesus has always been around and God just finally decided to send Him down somewhere around Christmas time!

Genesis 1:26 “26 Then God said, "Let us make human beings in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

I used to think God was talking to the angels. Now I know He was speaking to Jesus.

Psalm 102:25-27

25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,

and the heavens are the work of your hands.

26 They will perish, but you remain;

they will all wear out like a garment.

Like clothing you will change them

and they will be discarded.

27 But you remain the same,

and your years will never end.

Proverbs 8:22-36

22 "The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works,

before his deeds of old;

23 I was formed long ages ago,

at the very beginning, when the world came to be.

24 When there were no oceans, I was given birth,

when there were no springs abounding with water;

25 before the mountains were settled in place,

before the hills, I was given birth,

26 before he made the world or its fields

or any of the dust of the earth.

27 I was there when he set the heavens in place,

when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,

28 when he established the clouds above

and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,

29 when he gave the sea its boundary

so the waters would not overstep his command,

and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.

30 Then I was constantly [c] at his side.

I was filled with delight day after day,

rejoicing always in his presence,

31 rejoicing in his whole world

and delighting in humankind.

32 "Now then, my children, listen to me;

blessed are those who keep my ways.

33 Listen to my instruction and be wise;

do not disregard it.

34 Blessed are those who listen to me,

watching daily at my doors,

waiting at my doorway.

35 For those who find me find life

and receive favor from the LORD.

36 But those who fail to find me harm themselves;

all who hate me love death."

Christ one with the Father, in the creation of the world, and rejoicing in his work for the salvation of man.

How able, how fit is the Son of God to be the Saviour of the world, who was the Creator of it! The Son of God was ordained, before the world, to that great work. Does He delight in saving wretched sinners like you and me? And don't you want to delight in His salvation? I’m delighting in His salvation, and I’m praying you are, too! May God bless you!
