25 Gallon Donor Encourages Others
Wednesday, June 17, 2009 • Posted June 16, 2009

San Antonio, TX – Dale Moore is an avid recycler. As a computer programmer owning a consulting firm with about 500 customers, he routinely recycles computer and technology equipment. As a 25 gallon blood donor, he recycles life.

Dale first donated blood 20 years ago when a friend was in need. Today, he’s donated more than 25 gallons of blood to patients who will never get to meet him. “I donate because it feels good to help others,” says Dale.

One pint of donated blood can save up to 3 lives. In Dale’s case, he’s helped about 600 patients. World Blood Donor Day on June 14th provides an opportunity to recognize the millions of people like Dale who save lives every day and encourage others to do the same.

Throughout the world, millions of people will join in saving lives through blood donation. You can too. Log on to www.southtexasblood.org to learn more about blood donation or see the mobile blood drive near you.
