Panthers Exterminate the Yellow Jackets

The Blanco Panthers took to the road for the second year in a row to play in the bi-district game, which was held in San Angelo again this year.

The Panthers played a hard, tough game. They came out onto the court in the first period and stayed strong throughout the game.

In the first period, the Panthers out scored the Kermit Yellow Jackets by nine points for a score of 14-5

The Yellow Jackets came back in the second period and sank 18 points, but it was not enough to over take the Panthers sank only 11 points but held onto the lead. The teams retired to the locker rooms with a score 25-23.

As the teams returned to the floor for the second half of the game, the Panthers had a slow start as they only sank five points while the Yellow Jackets sank eight points to take the lead for the first time all night. The third period ended with a score Blanco 30, Kermit 31.

In the final period of the game, the Panther played hard ball, and never gave up as each player hustled to move the ball to the basket and played hard defense. The Panthers sank 12 points and held the Jackets to only nine points which gave the Panthers the win and the Bi-District title and trophy with a final score 42-40.
