Feb 22

• Citizen Assist. 1:35 AM. An officer responded to help lift a subject who had fallen. Blanco Volunteer Fire Department assisted.

• Traffic Accident. 12:43 PM. An 18-wheeler reportedly hit a gas pump at Blanco General and left the area.

Feb 23

• Reckless Driver. 3:06 PM. A motorcycle was reported at over 100 mph on US 281.

Feb 24

• Noise Complaint. 9:53 AM. Loud music was reportedly playing for the last few days. An officer found the music coming from a vehicle and resolved the problem.

• Abandoned 911 Call. 11:42 AM. The operator received a 911 hangup and, upon calling back, was told that no emergency was going on. An officer responded to the residence on Cherry St. and reported that everything was OK.

Feb 25

• Traffic Hazard. 9:36 AM. A truck was reportedly pulling a trailer full of trees on US 281, southbound to Blanco. The trailer looked unsteady, the caller said, and the trees were blowing all over the highway.

• Disturbance. 1:54 PM. Gem of the Hills Community Center.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 3:28 PM. A bicycle was reportedly stolen at Blanco High School.

• Alarm. 10:51 PM.

Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Reports

These reports were filed between Feb 22 and Feb 25.

Feb 22

• Information. 4:10 AM. A caller reported hearing his dog bark outside and possibly a gunshot.

• Stolen Property. 12:00 PM. A subject had reportedly stolen items from the caller. The caller requested that the subject be stopped and searched.

• Traffic Accident. 3:43 PM. Two-vehicle accident reported on RR 1623.

• Traffic Hazard. 5:48 PM. An 18-wheeler broke down at a curve on the side of 473 East. A wrecker was requested.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 9:35 PM. A vehicle was reportedly driving on the riverbed near Cox Rd. The responding officer advised the subject to go home.

• Suspicious Activity. 9:38 PM. An individual was reportedly shouting at the caller’s cats.

• Animal Complaint. 10:00 PM. An injured deer was reported on RR 165.

Feb 23

• Traffic Accident. 12:51 AM. A vehicle was reported in the trees off RR 165, just past the river bridge. Subjects were seen walking down the road. Juveniles who were involved were released to their parents. PEC was notified about damage.

• Noise Complaint. 10:05 AM. Caller reported loud music in Lake of the Hills subdivision.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 12:08 PM. A vehicle was reportedly stolen from the caller’s residence during the night.

• Assault. 1:10 PM. An incident report was filed about an assault at the caller’s residence.

• Criminal Mischief. 2:44 PM. A caller’s vehicle was reportedly keyed while it was parked on Main St.

• Welfare Check / Abandoned 911 Call. 3:44 PM. Caller referred to Burnet County. Everything was OK.

• Welfare Check. 3:50 PM. A caller reported a subject lying on the side of US 281, north of the Pedernales River Bridge (with Johnson City PD).

• Reckless Driving. 5:41 PM. A caller reported someone driving a motorbike at a high rate of speed on Narrows Rd.

• Dispute / Civil. 6:52 PM. A dispute over a neighbor’s dogs was reported.

• Reckless Driver. 7:50 PM. A vehicle was reportedly driving all over US 281 near Berkley’s. The responding officer didn’t see any reckless driving.

Feb 24

• Noise Complaint. 1:33 AM. Loud music reported.

• Suspicious Person. 3:58 AM. A subject, possibly a juvenile, was reportedly walking in the middle of US 281 at Stallion Estates Drive. An officer was unable to locate the subject.

• Traffic Accident. 6:12 AM. A one-vehicle traffic accident was reported on US 281 at 473 West. The person involved walked home, called 911, and asked to be checked out by EMS.

• Suspicious Vehicle. 9:41 AM. A vehicle was reportedly trespassing but it was driven by one of the property owner’s workers.

• Traffic Accident. 3:27 PM. A motorcycle accident occurred on RR 2766. StarFlight was requested (with Texas DPS).

• Unknown. 4:29 PM. A caller reported a neighbor riding four-wheelers on the property.

• Stranded Motorist. 6:58 PM. An officer pulled up on a suspicious vehicle on 962 E. Three unlicensed subjects were in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed and the subjects were given a ride into Johnson City.

• Disturbance / Arrest. 8:01 PM. An subject was reportedly intoxicated and yelling at a residence in the north end of the county. An officer responded and arrested the subject.

Feb 25

• Agency Assist. 1:30 AM. A Blanco Sheriff’s Office officer met with a Comal County officer to pick up a subject. She was given a courtesy ride to the Burnet County line where an officer from that county could transport her.

• Animal Complaint. 1:44 AM. The caller heard the sounds of a bunch of dogs barking and fighting. The noise had been going on for over an hour. An officer responded and found a large number of dogs and would try to contact the owners.

• Stranded Motorist. 8:46 AM. An officer helped change a tire on a vehicle on US 290 West.

• Civil / Suspicious Circumstances. 9:01 AM. Caller reported problems with an eviction.

• Traffic Hazard. 12:00 PM. Furniture fell off a trailer on US 281, south of Johnson City, into the southbound lanes. An officer moved the furniture and boxes off the roadway.

• Traffic Hazard. 4:31 PM. A caller reported that a subject had lost some hay bales and was attempting to remove them from the highway. An officer assisted the subject in removing them.

• Civil Standby. 4:46 PM. A caller requested an officer standby at a residence.

• Civil. 8:01 PM. An officer settled the civil matter at the scene, issuing a criminal trespassing warning to a subject.

• Traffic Accident. 8:05 PM. A vehicle reportedly ran through a fence on RR 1323. DPS was notified.

• Traffic Hazard / Stranded Motorist. 8:59 PM. A car reportedly stalled in the middle of US 290 East. The person had help on its way.

Feb 24

• Traffic Accident. 4:58 PM. A vehicle reportedly slid off the road near the intersection of Rocky Creek and US 290. A subject was transported to the EMS station (with Johnson City PD).
