Landscaping with Cacti, Succulents and Native Plants

The Blanco County Master Gardeners Association would like to invite you to attend a presentation on Landscaping with Cacti, Succulents and Native Plants. The presentation will be made by landscaper Larry Fagarason and will be held on Tuesday, March 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Blanco County Library.

Larry Fagarason is licensed by the Texas Department of Agriculture. He has experience in both commercial and residential applications and currently cultivates and distributes desert plants as the business called Western Hills Landscaping and Nursery. Mr. Fagarason is an active member of the Native Plant Society of Texas, the Kerr County Cactus and Succulent Society, the San Antonio Cactus and Xerophyte Society and the Austin Cactus and Succulent Society. He has been acting in the capacity of landscaper for over 12 years since retiring from a career as a cardiovascular thoracic surgeon.

Larry’s presentation will focus on winning techniques for cultivating and maintaining cacti, succulents and other native plants. He will share success stories relative to landscaping projects he has been involved with and will entertain questions associated with using these plants in your yards and gardens.

The presentation will be held on Tuesday, March 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Blanco County Library. The library is located in Blanco at 1118 Main St. between 11th and 12th Streets. Parking is available behind the library.
