Smile Texas/Mobile Dentists came to Blanco Elementary on February 27 and 28 and saw 62 students. 37 students need further treatment for cavities - which is about 60%. Parents of students needing more dental care will be notified by the Mobile Dentist staff. The dentist, dental hygienist and dental assistant cleaned teeth, gave fluoride treatments, applied sealants, screened teeth for problems, and x-rayed teeth.

The Mobile Dentists are scheduled to return on Wednesday, April 9th to finish the remaining list of students. PTO volunteer moms helped during the two days by serving as chaperones for the students. For more information visit: www.mobiledentists.com
