Lady Panthers Take Fourth in Tournament

The Lady Panthers held their annual tournament on Thursday, February 28 through March 1.

The final game down to Bandera who defeated Centerpoint 4-1 in the Guaranteed game; Somerset also defeated Llano 2-1 in the Consolation game; Johnson City defeated Blanco 5-2 in the third place game; and Fredericksburg defeated Lago Vista 2-1 in eight innings in the Championship game.

Blanco ended up in fourth place with a 2-2 record in the tournament.

The Panthers defeated Centerpoint 14-2 and Llano 7-2, but lost to Lago Vista 0-5 on the first day of action. Blanco faced a much improved Johnson City Eagles losing 2-5 in the third place game.

The Panther record is currently 8-5. The Panthers will play Johnson City Wednesday at 4 and 6pm and Fredericksburg in Fredericksburg on Friday at 5 and 7pm.
