Blanco Wins Tournament

Blanco opened up with San Saba and lost 11-5

Blake West took the loss for the Panthers, going four innings, striking out four, and scattering 10 hits.

Offensively, the Panthers were sluggish, only managing five hits. Chantell Young was two for three, scoring two runs. Austin Thompson was one for two with two RBI’s. Justin Warner and Lance Gottardy each had one hit.

Blanco defeated Natalia 11-7

Lance Gottardy picked up his second victory of the season going five innings and fanning six Mustangs.

The Panthers were led offensively by Justin Warner, and he was three for three with one RBI and scoring three runs. Shane Klein was two for three with a homer and five RBI’s. Chantell Young was two for three and scoring three runs, and Kevin Gray was one for three with two RBI.

Blanco outscores Luling 8-2

Justin Warner toed the rubber for this one and picked up his second win on the year. Warner went four strong innings; striking out six and scattering six hits.

Shane Klein was the hot stick for the night, going two for two; scoring two runs and knocking in two runs. Shelby Moore went Ya-Ya for his second on the year.

Lance Gottardy singled and doubled, and Kevin Gray and Austin Thompson each had a single.

Blanco defeated La Vernia 5-1 to advance to the finals.

Shane Klein picked up his first win on the mound going five strong innings, striking out three and scattering four hits with zero based on balls.

Justin Warner and Shane Klein each had two hits, Chantell Young, Lance Gottardy, Kevin Gray, Austin Thompson, and Ethan Evans all had a hit.

Blanco defeats Luling in the finals 3-2

Justin Warner went the distance on the bump to earn his third victory on the year, he is 3-0.

The Panthers won this game with their glove as zero errors were committed. Justin Warner, Lance Gottardy, and Kevin Gray all had rips.

Blanco went 4-1 to win the tournament.

Justin Warner was named MVP of the tournament.

Chantell Young, Shane Klein, and Lance Gottardy were All-Tournament.

The Panthers are 7-4 on the year and will travel to Llano on Friday to participate in the Llano Tournament.
