Dear Editor,

For 20 years I have lived in the Hill Country near Blanco. For 20 years I have enjoyed watching the three major TV stations from San Antonio (ABC, NBC and CBS). Plus, I’d get PBS and more recently, channel 2 (I think from Fredericksburg). This was about the only entertainment I had out here and I was happy with these stations. Then, I heard we were going to get a much clearer picture and many more channels. But, wait a minute! I now get nothing! No station at all!

I have two TV’s, one with rabbit ears and one connected to a new antennae. I properly attached the converter boxes and what do I get — “bad” or “no signal” written on the screens. Who’s responsible for this? Who do I complain to? Why was our free TV taken away?

Even with cable, which I can’t afford, my neighbors say they can’t get San Antonio stations anymore. Well, Steve Browne (Channel 12, San Antonio), I miss you and your weather forecast and your garden and bat cave news. I miss you too, Alex Trebek and Jeopardy.

Whomever is responsible for taking away my local and world news, my weather forecasts and weather warnings, and my daily entertainment. Thanks for nothing!

Sally Wall
