Panthers Take a Swing at the Texans

The tennis teams loaded up the buses for their first set of matches as they traveled to Wimberley to face the Texans.

Blanco did well over all, winning a grand total of 10 games out of a total of 22.

In doubles, Thomas Broyles and Lauren Savage lost 5-7, Crystal Thomas and Lindsey Baker lost 4-6 and 3-6, and in their second game they had the opportunity to play a doubles boys team. Taylor Edmundson and Alicia Immel lost 2-4, Taylor McCormick and Lauren Savage lost 3-6. Morgan Petri and Brooks Lane were defeated 2-6, and Kelly Savage and Maggie Avila split with one win, 6-4 and one loss, 1-6. John Pepper and Brian Roche won 6-1 and Hillary Tidwell and Mackenzie won 7-5.

In singles, Yvette Guerrero won 6-1 and 6-4. Austin Carrola won both of his matches with scores 6-1 in both games. Brian Roche won 6-0 and John Pepper won 6-2. Thomas Broyles won 6-0. Brooks Lane lost 4-6, Taylor Edmondson also lost with a score 2-6. Taylor McCormick fell short with a 4-6. Morgan Petri lost 0-6 and Alicia Immel lost 1-6 after playing against a singles boy.

The Panthers hosted the Cole Cougars on Tuesday; results will be in next week’s Blanco County News.
