McDonald’s and Fischer’s Neighborhood Market, located at 7765 Hwy 281N in Spring Branch held a combined Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on Saturday July 18th. Saturday’s event was preceded by daily specials and free items all week. Manager/Owners of McDonald’s Tina Salazar, her parents Joe and Lita Salazar co-sponsored the big event with Ed Dempsey, Ops Director Fischer Markets, and Fisher Market Managers Jennifer Krueger and Delia Alegria. A Hawaiian Island theme dominated the day with many activities including a visit from Ronald McDonald! Also in attendance were Michael Charles and wife Wanda from the McDonald’s Corporation; Yolanda Arellano, Executive Metro Director from the San Antonio Restaurant Association; Rhonda Zunker, President of Bulverde/Spring Branch Area Chamber of Commerce; members of Spring Branch VFD; and members of Boy Scout Troop # 58 for a flag ceremony and Pledge of Allegiance. Many other local residents and Chamber members were in attendance.
