Public records information is compiled by Charles Willgren from reports filed at the Blanco Police Department, Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, Blanco Volunteer Fire Department, Blanco County Clerk, District Clerk, and Justices of the Peace offices.

Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, Criminal Cases

Convictions will not appear this week.

Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, Criminal Cases

• Martin P. Berumen, of Strawn, was fined $156 for a tire less than 2/32 of an inch on February 8 (CVE).

• Curtis V. Anastasio, of San Antonio, was fined $162 for speeding on October 25, 2007 (DPS).

• Rene Cruz Pena, of San Antonio, was fined $185 for speeding on January 30 (DPS).

• Megan Marie Gan, of Devine, was fined $214 for speeding on February 2 (DPS).

• Jesus Carrillo, of Blanco, was fined $174 for speeding on December 31, 2007 (DPS).

• Randy Duane O’Neal, of Hamilton, was fined $148 for not having a valid inspection certificate and $127 for failure to display TxDOT cab card on February 13 (CVE).

Blanco Police Reports

These reports were filed between Mar 6 and Mar 13.

Mar 6

• Disturbance / Arrest. 3:52 PM. One subject arrested at City Hall.

• Noise Complaint. 8:40 PM. A subject was reportedly making too much noise with a motor.

• Juvenile Complaint. 10:07 PM. C.J’s.

Mar 7

• Noise Complaint. 2:54 AM. A caller on Greenlawn reported loud music that had been on for a while. An officer told the subject to turn off the music, to which he agreed.

• Traffic Control. 7:33 PM. A car reportedly broke down in the middle of US 281, in front of C.J’s.

• Possible Intoxicated Driver. 7:46 PM. Mesquite St. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

Mar 8

• Disturbance. 1:58 AM. Two subjects arrived home to find a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway. One subject stated that he was going to run over the vehicle. Officers responded and reported that the vehicle had already left the scene (with Blanco Co. SO).

• Traffic Accident. 3:12 PM. Two trucks (one with a trailer attached) reportedly crashed on 6th St. and Elm. AirLife was requested.

• Civil Matter. 10:37 PM. A subject was locked out, intentionally.

Mar 9

• Reckless Drivers. 9:34 AM. Three to four motorcycles were reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed on US 281. An officer was unable to locate them.

Mar 12

• Theft. 3:00 PM. A gas drive-off was reported. The Blanco PD will sent a letter to the subject instructing them to pay.

• Animal Complaint. 9:40 PM. A caller reported a snake in the washroom.

Mar 13

• Theft. 1:05 PM. Cell phone reported stolen.

• Noise Complaint. 8:47 PM. A caller reported loud yelling and screaming from a nearby residence on Elm St. The officer reported it was just kids running and playing (with Blanco Co. SO).

Blanco County Sheriff’s Office Reports

These reports were filed between Mar 6 and Mar 13.

Mar 6

• Traffic Accident. 12:14 PM. A one-vehicle accident with minor injuries was reported on RR 165, 3 miles from Blanco.

• Agency Assist. 2:34 PM. An officer assisted with an investigation.

• Welfare Check. 10:06 PM. A subject was reportedly walking on US 281. A caller requested an officer check on the subject; the officer provided a courtesy ride to Johnson City.

• Alarm. 11:27 PM. Residential.

Mar 7

• Prisoner Transfer. 4:09 AM. Inmate taken to Comal County.

• Harassment. 10:27 AM. A subject reported harassment for the Sheriff’s Office to document.

• Criminal Mischief. 1:00 PM. Trailers on the caller’s property were reportedly broken into.

• Animal Complaint. 2:28 PM. A caller reported dead sheep.

• Arrest on View. 4:30 PM. A camp fire was reported on the side of US 281, south of the Y. One subject was arrested on the scene.

Mar 8

• Reckless Driver. 2:17 PM. On-road/off-road bikes on Rolling Hills Rd. were reportedly driving at a high rate of speed up and down roadways.

• Loose Livestock. 3:23 PM. Goats on a roadway.

• Criminal Mischief. 4:21 PM. Street racing reportedly caused mailbox damage on Rocky Rd.

• Motorist Assist. 7:09 PM. A truck had a flat tire on US 281, south of Johnson City. The vehicle’s tire was fixed enough to get to town.

• Suspicious Circumstances. 7:27 PM. A small child called 911, reported someone in the house, and hung up. Four officers responded but there was no emergency.

• Welfare Concern. 7:40 PM. A subject requested a courtesy ride to the Gillespie County line but an officer was unable to pick up the subject there. Ministerial Alliance provided a room to the subject.

• Theft. 8:21 PM. A complainant reported three cases of beer stolen by three juveniles driving one vehicle.

• Noise Complaint. 8:40 PM. A caller reported loud music nearby. An officer met with the person playing the music, who advised the officer that they were done for the night.

• Gunshots. 9:27 PM. Gunshots were reported on US 281. The responding officers were unable to locate the source.

• Disturbance. 11:01 PM. A caller stated that they had a violent, possibly intoxicated, man tied up. The caller requested an officer; the responding officer arrested one subject.

Mar 9

• Loose Livestock. 11:50 AM. The owner of loose horses called to report them out and that they were being put back into the fence.

• Criminal Mischief. 12:20 PM. Escalating mailbox vandalism was reported on Rocky Rd.

• Missing Child. 8:20 PM. A child was reported missing in Pedernales Falls State Park. The caller called back to report that the child had been found.

Mar 10

• Alarm. 8:11 AM. Residential.

• Close Patrol. 8:30 AM. Beer cans are reportedly being thrown onto the road.

• Loose Livestock. 9:52 AM. RR 1623, just before RR 1888. The caller put the animal back up.

• 911 Hang Up. 10:23 AM. An operator answered a 911 call to nothing on the other end. Upon calling back, the phone kept ringing. An officer reported that everything was OK.

• Prisoner Transfer. 12:35 PM. Inmate taken to a doctor’s appointment.

• Theft. 1:51 PM. A caller wished to file an identity theft report.

• Disturbance / 911 Hang Up. 5:09 PM.

Mar 11

• Burn Violation. 11:54 AM. A subject was burning before the burn ban was temporarily lifted.

• Intoxicated Driver. 3:35 PM. A subject was dropped off at Koch Rd and was reportedly very drunk.

Mar 12

• 911. 7:01 AM. No one was on the line during a 911 call. The operator reached voicemail upon calling back. There was trouble with the phone line.

• Livestock Complaint. 10:30 AM. A caller reported an injury to livestock and requested an officer see the problem.

Mar 13

• Loose Livestock. 4:55 AM. A horse was roaming on RR 32.

• Repossession. 5:20 AM. A vehicle was repossessed.

• Funeral Escort. 9:49 AM. Blanco Catholic Church (with Blanco PD).

• Inmate Transfer. 9:57 AM. An inmate was brought back into the county for court.

• Loud Noise. 10:48 PM. A loud explosion, from behind the Housing Authority in Johnson City, was reported. Officers searched the area, through the park and city, and found nothing (with Johnson City PD).

Texas Department of Public Safety Reports

These reports were filed between Mar 6 and Mar 13.

Mar 6

• Traffic Accident. 1:03 PM. A one-vehicle accident on 473 West, just off US 281, was reported. A wrecker was requested.

Mar 9

• Traffic Accident. 4:29 AM. Comal County officers were in pursuit of a vehicle on US 281 when the vehicle had a wreck inside Blanco County. A wrecker was requested and the driver was put into custody.
