"We're hookers, you know," joked Jane Olson. She has been coming to Blanco every October for the past six years to teach rug hooking. Jane, who now lives in Los Angeles, has been hooking since the 1930s. Hooking enthusiasts from all over the area come to Jane's classes. This past week, the Blanco Church of Christ hosted the group in their fellowship hall. Hooking is a craft that involves pulling fabric, usually yarn, through a stiff base such as linen or burlap.
