This type of film isn't groundbreaking by any means. Films such as Fatal Attraction, Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Sleeping with the Enemy and Enough are all examples of dealing with crazy women or a woman taking matters into her own hands, and this movie has both.

Obsessed is about your typical American family. The Charles' have just bought a new house and the husband has a great job. His wife has been on maternity leave and is now studying to take a few extra classes for her degree. He is very supportive of her and they have a very strong marriage and life together, that is, until Lisa comes into the picture as a temp, covering for his secretary. He and his wife agreed that any secretary he has would always be male, but Lisa is anything but that. Lisa is one stubborn woman and when she sees what she wants, she will do whatever it takes (literally whatever) to get it. I must say from a woman's point of view (this is Noel and I'm writing this review, since I felt like I had better perspective concerning the subject matter), that Derek is truly an amazing husband to put up with as much temptation as he does and not fall into her trap and saw her for what she is; one crazy woman. The fight scene in this movie between the temp character and his wife (Beyonce) is amazing and exactly what I would have done if this trashy woman would have gone after my man or messed with my kid!

Although this movie is predictable, we all know we're watching it just to see Beyonce beat down this little blonde bimbo that tries to mess with her family, and it is great!! 3 paws!
