•Blanco State Park – Outdoor Preschool: Early opportunities to explore nature can heighten a child’s curiosity and problem solving skills, not to mention grow their love of the outdoors. This program is appropriate for children ages 3-5 and their parents or caregivers (no more than 2 children per adult). Children and adults should wear clothes for being outside and closed toe shoes. •Blanco State Park – Texas Fish School: Last chance this year for children to earn their Junior Angler certificate at Blanco State Park. Finish the summer with a lot of fun learning the basics of fishing through hands on practice with park staff. Children in class have a chance to win free fishing gear! Appropriate for children ages 6 and older. Adults are requested to attend with their children. Limited fishing equipment is available to rent or bring your own. This class is a relaxed and inviting experience for parents and toddlers, ages 1-3, to enjoy nature together. Parents remain with children for entire class. •The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: Auditions for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will be held on Sunday, September 13. These auditions are for anyone in the community interested in participating in this production. There are speaking parts for both children and adults. Audition times are from 2:00-4:00pm at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, with call backs that evening from 6:00-8:00pm.
