On September 1, 4-H members of Blanco County all got together for the 4-H Big Bash at the Johnson City Show Barn. New and old members all came together to register for the 2009-2010 4-H year. Members with Record Books and Projects from the previous year were able to collect their pins and learn about District Judging. Along with enjoying free hotdogs, the members could take a look at some of the projects completed over the summer and talk to fellow 4-H members. Talk centered around what we had done over the summer and preparations for the upcoming Wild Game Dinner scheduled for October 3. The Bash allowed 4-H members to kick off the new 4-H year with a big bang.

The first meeting of the local 4-H club Lucky Leaf will be held on September 15, 2009, at the Elementary School Administration Building at 5:30pm.
