Jesus said “I am the Door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” John 10:9

A preacher said rejecting Jesus is blaspheming the Holy Spirit, and Jesus said in Mark 3:29 “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.”

Is something hindering your belief? I’m sharing a few excuses and Scriptures to help overcome them. May God’s Word break down those walls of doubt, and may God bless you and those you share these with, so someone may believe and receive their salvation, in Jesus’ name. Amen, Amen, Amen.

Excuse: I do not believe in God.

Scripture: John 3:16-18-“16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Excuse: I do not believe in the Bible to be the Word of God.

Scripture: Mark 16:9-20 “9Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.

10And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

11And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

12After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.

13And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.

14Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

Excuse: I do not believe in hell.

Scripture: Isaiah 66:22-24: “22For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

24And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.”

Excuse: I do not believe in the atonement.

Scripture: Ephesians 1:7 “7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;…”

Excuse: I do not believe in any church.

Scripture: Romans 1:16 “16For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Excuse: I cannot believe what I do not understand.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:14 “14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Excuse: I do not believe in the virgin birth.

Scripture: Romans 8:3-4 “3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Excuse: I do not believe in a hereafter or immortality.

Scripture: 1 Timothy 6:16 “ 16Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.”

Excuse: I do not believe in the deity of Jesus Christ.

Scripture: John 1:1-“1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Excuse: I do not believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Luke 24:39- “39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.” Continue reading 40-47. See also John 20:20-29 and 1 Corinthians 15, and Zechariah 13:6
