Dick Knoll, a former Blanco school trustee and city council member, celebrated his 90th birthday last Friday.

More than 50 family members, friends and residents gathered at the Live Oak Medical Center Friday afternoon to honor Knoll at a party hosted by his three sons and grandchildren. Pictured with Knoll is his wife, Monta.

Don’t forget all the things that will be going on around Blanco and its environs from now until Christmas! This weekend, you have to choose among The Second Act three-play evening, the Ranch Rodeo and dance at Yett Park, and Hill Country Praise at Blanco United Methodist Church. You can also do all three, if your timing is good, or nothing!!! It’s up to you!

Just a big “hey” to all our readers outside Blanco, especially those in good, old Driftwood, Texas, and points east and west, and to Barbara Dowdy - because she is real special. Mrs. Ada, I will be over to see you one of these days, because I am a fool for quilts, and I am anxious to see yours!
