Ready, Aim, Speak!
Wednesday, September 23, 2009 • Posted September 22, 2009

I am convinced that we will have victory in this earthly life on earth if we imitate Jesus and follow the examples given to us in our bibles; all of them! So I set out to research Scriptures that I could memorize so I’d be prepared for attacks (like Jesus was prepared when the devil tempted Him during his 40 day fast) in Matthew 4:1-11.

When I turned to my bible and re-read Deuteronomy 28, I realized the Scriptures I need to speak are all those wonderful promises God gave us for obedience!

Yep, I’m gonna start saying “Thank you Lord, that our country keeps your commands and your Word says you will set us above all nations of the earth!” (Verse 1 of Deut. 28). I know some people in our nation are not obeying right now, but we’re praying for them, and we’re believin’ that many people are gonna change, so I’m gonna speak in the affirmative. That’s right, no more negative stuff. Yep, and (see Deut. 28:3) I’m gonna start thanking the Lord that we are blessed in our cities and in our fields, too! And when someone is rude to me on the phone I’m gonna say “Thank you Lord, that your Word says You will smite my enemies and they will run away from me in seven different directions!” (verse 7) Hallelujah!

You see, I’ve decided those Scriptures apply to me because I love God and I’m trying my best to love His people. Even though He knows us better than we do, and that we’re not perfect yet, He has begun a good work in us, and He is changing us from glory to glory. And He has given us the mind of Christ, and He has given us a spirit of love, and power and sound mind so we can read His Word. And, He has given us His Holy Spirit within us to teach us, so we can sow His Seed, (which is His Word) and He will cause it to grow and multiply so we’ll have a bountiful harvest, and remember, His Word doesn’t return back to Him void, because it accomplishes His purpose and He watches over His Word to perform it! Hallelujah!

So they’re the ones I’m gonna speak, and I’m gonna speak them in the past tense, too, the way God spoke things. I’m gonna thank Him for things before I receive them, believing that I have received answers to my prayers, because Jesus said we need to believe we receive it before we receive it, in order to receive it.

Mark 11:24 “24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

And remember, He said “19Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 18:19 That’s why it’s good to pray with a prayer partner!

We just may be “loosing God’s Word to allow things to happen!” according to Matthew 18:18 “ 18Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

And I’m gonna say “Thank You Lord, that Americans are lawfully free to publicly praise and worship You, O God, without fear of being hurt or reprimanded. And thank You Lord, that our leaders are Christian men and women who fear You, O God and thank You Lord that You have placed prayer back into our schools and playgrounds and football fields!” I’m gonna start thanking Him NOW, believing He’s answering all our prayers, so we’ll receive them, according to His Word! Hallelujah! Stir yourselves up! Stir yourselves up! THANK HIM! Hallelujah!

And remember those who were victorious before us!

Daniel 3:17-18 “17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”

1 Samuel 17:45-47 “45 David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! 47 And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!”

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5:10
