In their home opener, the Panthers lit up the scoreboard and displayed tenacious defense. After receiving the kickoff, Aikman Elrod dashed 61 yards for the first TD. The PAT failed, and Blanco was up 6-0. After yielding one first down, Hunter Goodman made a QB sack for a six yard loss, and Alex Juarez blocked the punt attempt. Hard running by Devlin Moore and Carson Kipp got the Panthers close to scoring, but a fumble stopped the drive. Dru Ramirez gave the ball right back to Blanco, making an interception and returning it to the three yard line. Aikman Elrod ran for the second TD, and Carson Kipp pounded his way in for the PAT, putting the Panthers up 14-0. Solo tackles by Ty Royce and Alex Juarez forced a three and out, giving the ball back to Blanco. Robbie Arlitt made a key block on the outside, allowing Aikman Elrod to score on a 48 yard run. Ty Royce caught the PAT pass, and Blanco was up 22-0 at the half.

In the second half, more stellar defense from Alex Juarez, Jake Breeding, Cade Wagner, Colton Perkins, and Trey Hodge kept the Cougars from ever threatening Blanco. Carson Kipp bolted fifteen yards on another TD run, and Dylan Tesch caught the PAT pass, putting Blanco up 30-0 in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Jake Breeding rumbled 41 yards to the Cougar 10, and then punched in the final TD on a six yard run. Dylan Tesch passed to Dru Ramirez for the PAT, and Blanco went up 38-0. On the final Cougar series, Robbie Arlitt and Dylan Tesch both made solo tackles as time expired.

For the game, the Panther defense held Jarrell to 34 total yards and three first downs.
