Panthers Tame the Bulldogs

The Blanco Panther Softball team faced the Brady Bulldogs last Friday.

The Panthers defeated the Bulldogs 14-2 in five innings of play. Game highlights consited of Sarah Isenberg who threw to 17 batters allowing two runs, striking out six with two walks. Rachel Calzoncit closed the game pitching to four batters allowing one hit with no runs.

Alisa Guler hit a two run home run in the first inning giving the Panthers a two run lead. Lacee Hunter was three for three with a double and two singles; Carla Martinez was three for three with three singles; Rachel Calzoncit and Sam Ruiz both had two doubles and a single; Symbri McCarroll was three for four with two singles and a double; Kalyn Massey was two for three with two singles and Sarah Isenberg was one for four with a double.

Overall, the Panthers scored 14 runs on 20 hits. The Panthers are currently 13-10 overall and 2-2 in district play. The Panthers will travel to Comfort to face the Deer April 1st at 7pm.
