Wednesday, October 7, 2009 • Posted October 6, 2009

The Junior Varsity football team traveled to Comfort for a clash of district rivals, the Blanco Panthers and the Comfort Bobcats.

The Panthers made the first strike with a touchdown pass from Sam Isenberg to Tim Goodman. Quarterback Isenberg then ran for the two-point conversion, hurdling two Bobcat defenders at the goal line.

The next two touchdowns scored by Blanco were tosses from Isenberg to Quinn Dillard.  The extra point conversions were no good after these scores.  The Blanco team enjoyed a halftime lead 20-0.

After halftime, Jordan Handberry was Isenberg’s next target for a touchdown pass.  Tim Goodman caught the two-point conversion from Isenberg.

The Panthers added six more points with Petey Chalico rushing into the end zone.

The final score was Blanco 34 to Comfort 14. The JV plays this Thursday in Fredericksburg at 5:30pm.
